Hello everyone, and thank you for stopping by my website today!
My name is Laura Rusciolelli, and I am a Pennsylvania artist involved
in all art mediums but especially drawn to watercolors. Animals and birds figure prominently in a lot of my work, and I very
much enjoy capturing people's beloved pets on paper & canvas.
For a long time now I have been devoted to an exciting form of miniature art
known as ACEO (Art Card Editions and Originals), also known as ATC (Art Trading Cards). These little gems are the size
of a baseball trading card, 2.5" x 3.5", and are a fun & inexpensive way to collect original works of art. I have sold
ACEOS all across the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, and Japan, to name a few, and even a couple
to Iceland!
I also have an amazing studio built onto my home in which I

A great BIG thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me to dream
big and follow the artistic path. The personal training and guidance I received from a wonderful local artist, Storma French,

Mixed Media Acrylic
I taught this technique in the children's art classes (see that page for samples of the
student's artwork). This is way too much fun to be real art!

Mr. Elephink
Well, the elephant himself is done, but I still have the background to complete, which may
not be until fall at the rate I am going, lol! This collaged "painting" of a baby elephant is approx. 13 x 18,
and I used rice paper as my paint/texture. First I used watercolor to pre-paint the rice paper, and I then
tore it and applied it with an acrylic collage medium to create shadow & amazing texture. I also used thinned
acrylic paint in certain areas, particularly where extreme dark was needed. I hope you enjoyed seeing the little guy
come to life.
